AIFM Breaking News (18/03/2010)
It has been reported that the discussions on the AIFM proposal directive initially planned yesterday by the ECOFIN was postponed to the next ECOFIN Council. In addition to technical discussions on the provisions of the AIFM Directive, it appears that such delay is motivated by political consideration between various EU Member States.
However, it was confirmed that despite such a delay, the procedure will carry on with discussion at the EU Parliament followed by a vote due on April the 12th 2010.
